Details: Join our Saturday morning Mixed Level class at 8:30am weekly. Class is by donation only, we are collecting monetary donations to support North Kitsap High School PTSA for the first quarter of 2012. Our donations will go to support activities such as Season of Giving, Teacher and Staff Appreciation and Scholarships for graduating seniors. This class is appropriate and great for beginner-intermediate participants.

Event: Viking Jazz Fest 2012 - 45 bands will perform
Location:North Kitsap Auditorium, 1881 NE Hostmark St., Poulsbo, WA,98370
Time: The Concert begins at 7pm.

Details: On Thursday, February 2nd, 13 Middle Schools and 6 High school groups will perform and be adjudicated by three Jazz Specialists. Jr. High and Middles schools travel from all over Puget Sound, and High School Groups from all over the State (as far away as Spokane) attend this event. This festival draws even the most famous High School Group

including Garfield, Roosevelt, Mt. Si, Shorecrest, Cascade, Meadowdale and many more.

Friday, Feb. 3rd, 25 High School Groups will compete for coveted spots in the evening Concert. The concert will also feature Jazz Icon, Saxophonist Jeff Kashiwa, who is internationally known for his Alto and Soprano Sax genius and our own “Award Winning” NKHS Varsity Jazz Ensemble. The top three finalist band in each category will then take

the stage to vie for the First, Second, Third and Sweepstakes Trophies. Then, the concert will close with our Guest Group ~ Central Washington University’s Top Jazz Band! 

Tickets are $10.00 for the evening event and can be purchased at the door. During the day, the community is invited to come listen to the competing groups for FREE.

Event: Admissions Open House

Details: West Sound Academy invites prospective families, friends and community members to an Open House on February 7, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. Open Houses are the single most efficient way to learn a lot about the school in a short period of time. Our doors open at 6:45 p.m., and the evening wraps up around 9:00 p.m. You'll have a chance to learn about our academics and extracurricular activities, meet the Head of School and some of the faculty and students, and take a tour of the campus.
