Event: 3rd of July Fireworks Celebration
Time: Noon - 11PM
Location: Historic Downtown Poulsbo on Liberty Bay
Details: Admission and parking are free. A fun filled event for the whole family with many activities. Live music, concessions, food, rides. Booths open at 5:00 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., the contemporary Navy Band, “Passage,” will be playing at the Kvelstad Pavilion in Liberty Bay Park. The fireworks show begins at approximately 10:15 p.m. (weather & conditions permitting). As in past years, it will be set to music and we’ve been told by our pyrotechnics crew that it will incorporate one of the largest display of shells ever launched in Kitsap County!

Event: The Portable Reality Show
Location: Jewel Box Theatre, 225 Iverson St.
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Details: Improv theater is storytelling, or better said, playwriting on the spot. It has been said that acting in improv is like being an acrobat balancing on a high wire. Improvisers take suggestions for characters and situations from the audience and launch themselves into a story without the benefit of a safety net in the form of a script. Sometimes they succeed gloriously, often they fail ignominiously — but the results are always hilarious. Tickets available at the door cost $10.
