Poulsbo does not operate a sewage treatment plant.  Sewage is pumped under Liberty Bay to the treatment plant at Brownsville, which is operated by Kitsap County.

RECYCLING CENTER: The City of Poulsbo , in conjunction with Kitsap County and Bainbridge Island Disposal, operates a recycling drop station located at 21868 Viking Way NE Poulsbo, WA 98370 .  They accept plastic pop bottles, milk jugs, newspaper, office paper, magazines, corrugated cardboard, tin cans, aluminum, scrap metal, glass and auto batteries.  Bainbridge Island Disposal has an employee on duty during hours of operation.  The station is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00AM to 2:00PM and on Saturdays from 9:00AM to 4:00PM.  The station is closed Sundays, Mondays and holidays. BILLING:  Charges for the above services are billed to the PROPERTY OWNER at the end of each month of service.   The property owner may request the billing be mailed in care of a tenant by completing a "Utility Billing Authorization Form" which is available from the Finance Department.

PAYMENTS: Payment must be received by the  20th day of the following month to avoid a 10% late charge. A drive up payment drop box is located in King Olaf Parking lot.  A payment drop is also located at the top of City Hall steps.
